Welcome to the family-friendly rally festival

“Karlstad aims to be one of Sweden’s top cities for hosting popular events. I am delighted to welcome the BAUHAUS Royal Rally to Karlstad and Värmland for the second edition”, says Linda Larsson, Chair of the Municipal Executive Committee (S) in Karlstad.

Karlstad has an excellent reputation as an event city with a wide repertoire of gatherings in various fields. The stated strategy is to be a city where fun things happen all year round, both for Karlstad residents and visitors. This benefits the tourism industry in a broad perspective: hotels, restaurants, shops, transport companies, and other businesses.

“The goal is to get more visitors to discover Karlstad and want to come back at a later date. Ultimately, we hope to attract more people to move here for studies or work, and studies show that there is a clear connection between visits and relocation”, says Linda Larsson.

Pride and cooperation

When Karlstad Municipality conducts various citizen surveys, it is clear that the residents of Karlstad are very proud of their city and gladly recommend a visit. Another success factor behind a successful event is the willingness to participate and cooperate.

“Thanks to all the associations that get involved and work with the events, good conditions are created for success”, says Linda Larsson.

After Rally

The exposure Karlstad receives through TV broadcasts and other media is very valuable according to Linda Larsson.

“We want it to be visible that the party is taking place in Karlstad. Centrum Karlstad will arrange an after rally, so it will certainly be visible when the rally rolls in here. I am looking forward to exciting competitions and a family-friendly party”, says Linda Larsson.
