Few in Sweden have missed Tim Liljegren and his spectacular rise in the bright yellow Volvo. With millions of YouTube views, a documentary series on SVT and even his own dance band music, Tim has brought rallying into Swedish living rooms like few others.

From May 22–24, the driver from Blekinge will line up in the top class of the FIA European Rally Championship, making his ERC debut together with co-driver Sofie Sjöberg Karlsson in a Škoda Fabia run by JC Raceteknik.
– It’s a childhood dream coming true to compete at such a high level in an international championship like the ERC, and to do it in Karlstad feels very special, says Tim.
For one weekend, the famous yellow Volvo – “Gula Faran” (“The Yellow Danger”) – will be left in the garage as Tim steps behind the wheel of the four-wheel-drive Škoda Fabia. As preparation for BAUHAUS Royal Rally of Scandinavia, Tim and Sofie will compete in the Nordic Championship together with the Swedish Rally Championship in Nyköping this weekend.
Tim is also an ambassador for the Swedish Cancer Society and its “Rally Against Cancer” initiative, which will be highlighted during the rally weekend in Karlstad.
This means that local team JC Raceteknik will field three cars in the ERC1 class on home soil next week: Isak Reiersen/Stefan Gustavsson, Adam Grahn/Christoffer Bäck and Tim Liljegren/Sofie Sjöberg Karlsson.
