On Thursday evening, May 29, the rally action begins in Värmland with the brand-new SS1 Bråtebäcken – a centrally located stage that promises to be a real crowd-pleaser as both the FIA ERC stars and Swedish Championship drivers head out to set the tone for the weekend. With its unique mix of road types and a dramatic arena-style section inside LBC’s quarry, SS1 is set to deliver an unforgettable start to the rally.

“It has everything – and then some,” says Route Officer, Magnus Säfström. “This stage offers a sample of all the road types the drivers will encounter during the 2025 edition of BAUHAUS Royal Rally of Scandinavia. On top of that, it includes a one-of-a-kind arena section inside the quarry, known as LBC Arena, which is unlike anything else in the rally.”
SS1 begins on a fast country road before transitioning into a more technical section near a farmhouse, where flowing corners wind through sparse pine forest. Spectators will be spoiled for choice with excellent viewing points throughout. The stage then enters LBC Arena, where fans can see the cars pass multiple times before they launch out of the quarry with a dramatic jump and tackle a few final sweeping corners before the finish line.
SS1 Bråtebäcken is scheduled to start at 18:20 and is located just east of Karlstad, slightly north of the E18. The stage features convenient parking and spectator access near the finish area, close to the Bråtebäcken industrial zone.
