The ERC continues to grow in both prestige and participation, and a top-class international field is expected in Värmland this summer. Several of Europe’s most accomplished drivers have already announced their 2025 campaigns – including Norwegian stars Mads Østberg and Frank Tore Larsen, who are both returning to Sweden to chase new victories. Reigning Junior ERC champion Mille Johansson will also step up to the top ERC category this season.

One of Sweden’s most successful rally drivers, Oliver Solberg, remains undefeated at the BAUHAUS Royal Rally of Scandinavia, having won both previous editions in 2023 and 2024.

This year’s edition introduces several exciting updates for both competitors and fans. The ceremonial start will take place at Karlstad’s Stora Torget (Main Square) on Thursday, followed by the opening stage SS1 Bråtebäcken – a fast and crowd-friendly stage featuring a unique arena section inside the quarry, setting the tone for the weekend.

Another major addition is the inclusion of the Swedish Rally Championship (SM), which will run alongside the ERC across the same stages on Friday and Saturday. The SM entry and invitation will be released shortly, promising a strong national presence and even more action for rally fans.

The Supplementary Regulations for the FIA ERC round are now published, and registration for international competitors is officially open on the rally’s website.
