CALLE CARLBERG FACTORY DRIVER IN ERC

Calle Carlberg won the Opel e-Rallycup last year, and was rewarded with a factory seat with Opel Motorsport in the Junior ERC 2024.

Carlberg, along with Norwegian co-driver Jørgen Eriksen, will compete in all six rounds of the Junior ERC with an Opel Corsa Rally4.

Already in 2023, Calle Carlberg was present in Karlstad at the BAUHAUS Royal Rally of Scandinavia, not as a competitor but as an advisor to Opel Motorsport and the team’s then-driver Timo Schulz.

Carlberg and Eriksen will kick off their ERC season in Hungary on April 12-14.

“It’s a childhood dream come true. To have full support from a factory team with testing, engineers, service, and much more. It’s something I’ve been working towards since I started rallying. Our plans are set for the year and I’m looking forward to getting into the car for the first round in Hungary,” says Calle.

“I’m very much looking forward to the BAUHAUS Royal Rally of Scandinavia in June, my home event. I’ve more or less grown up in Värmland around the WRC, and I was at Colins Crest for the first time when I was six years old. Now I finally get to drive over the crests myself.”
