For the second year in a row, BAUHAUS Royal Rally of Scandinavia will bring the rally festival to the heart of Karlstad. When the fourth edition of the FIA European Rally Championship event takes place on 22–24 May 2026, Stora Torget will once again host both the ceremonial start and the prize-giving.

Last year, the rally moved into central Karlstad – a popular initiative that attracted large crowds in beautiful May weather. Now it has been confirmed that the concept will continue.
The ceremonial start will take place on Friday evening, 22 May, with all crews passing over the podium in the main square before the rally begins with its opening stage shortly after. On Sunday, 24 May, the event will conclude with the prize-giving ceremony – also held at Stora Torget.
“Last year, the goal was to bring the rally closer to the people of Karlstad, who we know love the sport. The response was fantastic, with huge crowds turning out. Now we’re looking forward to building on this and making it a tradition,” says Sandra Nyström, Project Coordinator, Royal Rally of Scandinavia.
Timetables, programme details and further activities at Stora Torget will be published soon at www.ercroyalrally.com
