Royal Rally Legends Boasts Star-Filled Lineup

The audience will be treated to real rally delights when the BAUHAUS Royal Rally of Scandinavia takes place in Värmland on June 13-15. This year’s Royal Rally Legends will feature nearly 20 legendary cars and drivers.

New for this year is that the historical competition will run all the stages in the event between the first and second laps of the European Championship field. This means the audience will have many opportunities to enjoy the classic cars.

Värmland Rally Royalty on Home Ground
Nineteen-time Swedish champion and two-time winner of the Swedish Rally, Mats Jonsson, will be at Royal Rally Legends. In a replica of the Toyota Celica he won the Swedish World Championship Rally with, Mats will tackle his home stages. Jonsson will be accompanied in the four-wheel-drive class by Tom Axelsson in his sonorous Audi Ur-Quattro.

Eye and Ear Candy in 2WD
Among the two-wheel-drive cars, there are many rally treats for the audience to enjoy. How about Arne Rådström in a six-cylinder Volvo 262, Lotta Lundqvist in an Opel Manta 400, or Göran Jonasson in a Vauxhall Chevette? The Värmland rally icon Bror Danielsson will of course be on the starting line in his Ford Escort. It will be truly classic with Kim Sevius, who always offers great driving in his Volvo PV.

Lancia Stratos Back Again
It’s been over 40 years since Lancia competed in Sweden with their iconic Stratos. But during Royal Rally Legends, the wait is over. Rune and Ewa Andersson will conclude the Legends field with their Lancia Stratos Replica.

QUOTE:
“The whole idea with Legends is to offer rally fans a buffet of fine historic cars, really broad drifts, and cool rally profiles. This year’s lineup has a fantastic mix of this, and my personal favorite is, of course, the Stratos,” says Glenn Olsson, CEO of BAUHAUS Royal Rally of Scandinavia.
