Memories from a Fantastic Career<\/h3>\n

As he approaches 60 years behind the wheel, memories flood back. The pictures and articles on the garage walls tell stories of his adventures, and his impressive trophy collection has found its place in the guild house.<\/p>\n

“The grandchildren counted, and there should be 483 trophies here,” says Bror Danielsson, showing off a painted helmet he received from artist Bengt Lindstr\u00f6m after winning a hill climb event in Sundsvall in the early 1980s.<\/p>\n

“He was terrified and said he saw the devil in me when I drove,” Bror laughs.<\/p>\n

An Invited Legend<\/h3>\n

Invitations to veteran races still come in. This spring, he looks forward to Krutracet in Dynamitbacken in Uddevalla, the BAUHAUS Royal Rally, and later a tribute race for Jimmy McRae in England, which he missed last year due to cancer treatment.<\/p>\n

“This year, I really hope it happens. It’s always fun to go to these races, drive, meet old friends, and experience new things. There has always been such a good atmosphere between us drivers and teams. During the races, we of course were bitter enemies, but immediately after, we could always laugh and have fun together,” says Bror.<\/p>\n

BAUHAUS Royal Rally of Scandinavia<\/h3>\n

“As a V\u00e4rmlander, I find it very sad that Rally Sweden has moved. But this has become a great substitute, which can certainly grow big. And as good as it was the first year, with fantastic weather and everything, it’s almost hard to beat,” says Bror.<\/p>\n

Last year, the Legends class drove only two stages on Saturday. This year, the invited veterans will drive all the stages on Friday and Saturday, alternating with the ERC teams who will drive all the stages twice. This setup will provide the audience with a lot of rally action to enjoy.<\/p>\n
